| ngaio | 3:07p | Good and bad I got kinda up to date with LJ comments. In that I answered everything back to the start of July and then gave up (with about 70 to go). Sorry if you were/are waiting for an answer you've not got, nudge me and I'll answer. I've done nothing today, no cooking or tidying or anything ... I just ... I really don't want to go back to work. In fact I'm sorta having a panic attack thinking of it. Which is stupid, I mean, I like work, I like the people ... I just ... I get used to the isolation I guess, having the time to myself, and ... yeah. Current Mood: nervous |

This is an almost unknown TV mini-thing (two episodes, originally it was four but they've combined them for this repeat) which has only been repeated once (I think) since it was originally broadcast in the 90s and has never been released on video or DVD. I have no idea *why* it's been treated so cavalierly by the BBC because it's *great*. I mean, seriously, I love this thing. It has Nigel Havers, Warren Clarke, and David Calder - what more could you want?! Anyway, I'm going to try taping it tonight (and am regretting not having a DVD recorder, just for this!) and I'm going to take a longshot and see if there's a torrent of it tomorrow or next week once the second half is shown. I'm recommending you to watch it. It's *fun*, and yes, it's of an era but who *doesn't* want to see the story of two KGB agents who've been sleepers so long they forgot they were anything else and everyone forgot about them until Glasnost. I was about to do something I've never done before, namely order my food shopping online for delivery, but, foiled again, they've no delivery slots earlier than tomorrow afternoon. Therefore at some point I am going to have to venture out into the wind and rain (seriously, of all the crappy weather there's been this week, this is the crappiest) and catch some buses. ::deep breath:: Maybe I'll leave it an hour and hope for an improvement. | ngaio | 8:55a | Grumble I want to have a meal that I've not had to cook and that isn't takeaway. I think it's the main problem with eating healthily for me, that I have to *think* all the time about what I've got and what I can make with it and you know, some days I just want to be able to come home and have a hot meal waiting for me that I haven't had to plan, prepare, and cook. This grumble brought to you by the fact I have three parsnips, two courgettes, and a sweet potato in my fridge, I need to go to the supermarket for basics such as onions and ... stuff I can't even think of, and it's wet and windy outside and I don't want to. Two years ago I'd have had a freezer full of ready meals and no thought of needing ingredients for food. Current Mood: aggravated |

| ngaio | 4:39p | Think/gs I'm thinking of doing a Day in the Life type photo thing tomorrow. Photos from start to finish of the day, at least one an hour. In case you think that a day of me sitting on the sofa watching TV and reading fic would be boring (which it would), tomorrow I'm getting up early-ish and catching a train, meeting my parents in Chester and shopping/eating/chatting. So, anyone interested? Also, because I'm procrastinating *like crazy*, To Do: Answer the damn comment backlog, there's over 100 of them! Fold and put away all clean clothes Make and freeze some food - possibly buy ingredients first since all my fridge seems to contain: potatoes, a sweet potato, spring onions, red chillies, garlic, and cottage cheese Hang Serenity posters, having first moved framed things around in bedroom to accommodate them Mend the clothes sitting on the sofa Write Ruth a letter although I cannot send the letter once written as her address is at work. Take all the stuff scattered up the stairs and on the sofa upstairs and put the damn stuff away, it's been hanging around forever you messy cow Current Mood: apathetic |
